Falck A/S today announced that the Board of Directors of the company has appointed Jakob Riis as new president and CEO of Falck. Jakob Riis will take up his new position on 1 May 2017.
The board of directors of Falck A/S today entered into an agreement with Chief Executive Officer Allan Søgaard Larsen that he will step down as CEO of Falck.
The new CEO of Falck’s Emergency division has been appointed. It is Jakob Just-Bomholt who joins Falck after a long career in the Maersk Group.
Falck and Verisure today announce that they have entered into transactions to launch a new sales cooperation for monitored alarm services to families and small business owners in Denmark and Norway. As part of the cooperation, Verisure is acquiring Falck’s alarm customer portfolio and certain other operational assets in Denmark and Norway.
In 2016, Copenhagen was the host city of EMS2016, the first European Congress on Emergency Medical Services. The Congress was a big success, with more than 1100 delegates attending from 37 countries. Falck was main sponsor of the event, and Falck professionals and other employees took part in many of the sessions at the congress.
The security situation in Turkey has been assessed to be stable after the weekend’s attempted coup. All airports are open, and several travel agencies and airline carriers are yet again offering travels to Turkish destinations. The situation is reported to be normal and calm in tourist areas.
Around 23.30 local time military personnel blocked the Bosphorus bridges and sieged strategic points in Ankara including the Turkish national TV NTV. At current time, the coup is primarily limited to Ankara and Istanbul, where explosions have occurred.
Since the terror attack in Nice, Falck has followed the situation in France closely and we continue to evaluate the situation. The need for assistance and emergency counselling is now decreasing.
Falck Fire & Safety do Brasil SA has just signed a 3-year contract for airport rescue and firefighting services (ARFFS) to the Belo Horizonte International Airport with the option to extend the contract for one more year.
