Copenhagen Airport chooses Falck to assist passengers with reduced mobility
Copenhagen Airport and Falck have signed a contract concerning service to passengers with reduced mobility (PRM). For the next 3 years, Falck will assist passengers with reduced mobility from the moment they arrive at Copenhagen Airport to when they sit safely in the airplane, or the other way.
Jørgen Mieritz, Senior Vice President, Falck Ambulance Denmark, says:
We are proud to continue performing PRM services in Copenhagen Airport, a leading premium Northern Europe airport and important traffic hub. It’s all about giving top service to these passengers all the way through the airport. We assist them through check-in and bag drop, security and passport control and all the way to their seat onboard the airplane. And when they arrive, we follow them from the airplane to where they can travel on by train, bus, car or taxi.
Falck employs approximately 160 employees in Copenhagen Airport. These employees speak around 30 different languages, giving Falck the opportunity to call a native-speaking colleague should the need arise. In addition, Falck uses a number of specialized vehicles in Copenhagen Airport, including around 15 electric cars, around 80 wheelchairs and a number of specialized lift busses.
Falck has handled PRM services for Copenhagen Airport since 2008 and won the new contract in an open tender.
