Press release -
Falck wins contracts in the Central Denmark Region
Falck continues as supplier of emergency medical services in the Central Denmark Region when the present tender period expires in November 2021. Today, Falck won three out of three tendered lots in competition with two other private suppliers. Falck will provide more than 40 ambulances to the Region.
President and CEO Jakob Riis says:
”We are glad that we will continue to deliver specialised emergency medical services to the residents of the Central Region. Compared to international standards, the Danish emergency medical services are at a high level of quality. We are proud of the service that we have developed with our customers and that we deliver to Danes every day. The Central Region and other Danish regions are obvious partners for us in relation to the development of healthcare offerings that emergency medical services will offer in the future.”
For Falck, the tender in the Central Region is the culmination of several years of work to optimise for tens of millions Danish kroner and develop the quality of the ambulance services that the company will deliver to the Central Region. Falck will provide a newly developed ambulance stretcher and a new lay out of the stretcher compartment, which is state-of-the-art both within patient safety and work environment.
In the tender process, Falck offered the overall best price and quality among the three tenderers.
The Danish contracts for emergency medical services are important to Falck because the company has developed some of the world’s leading emergency medical services on its home market in collaboration with the Danish regions. The continued development of some of the world’s best ambulances is thus a strong argument when Falck exports and makes contracts for emergency medical services with customers abroad. At the moment, Falck is negotiating a contract for the provision of emergency medical services for 1.6 million residents in San Diego (US), and at New Year, Falck initiates its largest single contract to date on German ambulances in the German city of Görlitz.
