Falck public fire wins 10-year agreement in Denmark

Lolland-Falster Fire Service and Falck have entered into a new long-term agreement to replace the current agreement

With a new agreement, Falck will provide emergency response to nine out of Lolland-Falster Fire Service's 15 fire stations, and the agreement replaces the current agreement, which expires at the turn of the year. The agreement was finalised through a negotiation on size and quality of emergency services delivered at the nine fire stations and will ensure that the Lolland-Falster Fire Service can continue to provide timely and effective assistance to distressed citizens and businesses.

"We are very pleased to continue our close collaboration with Lolland-Falster Fire Service and the fact that the Lolland-Falster Fire Service has maintained the broad cooperation with Falck," says Max Andersen, Fire Director at Falck.

“For several years, we have worked closely with Lolland-Falster Fire Service, and we will continue to form an even closer partnership where common resources are utilized to the best of our ability. I very much welcome that,” says Max Andersen.

Mayors are pleased
The new agreement continues the current level of service and at the same time offers the opportunity to incorporate future wishes from both the Emergency Commission and the fire service.

"I am really pleased that we have reached a new agreement," says Holger Schou Rasmussen, Mayor of Lolland Municipality and chairman of the Emergency Commission.

"The agreement ensures that we continue to have a robust fire service throughout Lolland-Falster."

Deputy Chairman of the Emergency Commission, Mayor John Brædder, Guldborgsund Municipality agrees with his colleague:

"With the new agreement, we ensure that all resources within the Lolland-Falster Fire Service become more closely linked and function as one team," says the mayor

The agreement has a total value of approximately DKK 260 million over the next 10 years.
