Jesper Lok to leave Falck

By agreement with Allan Søgaard Larsen, Falck’s Group CEO, Jesper Lok will leave his position as CEO of Falck’s Emergency-division.

“Falck is a fantastic business, and I am pleased to have been part of the organisation. I would obviously have liked to remain on board for the next part of Falck’s journey, but Allan and I have discussed the matter thoroughly, and I appreciate that Falck is looking for someone with a different profile at this point in time,” said Jesper Lok.

Allan Søgaard Larsen regrets that the collaboration did not turn out as both parties had hoped.

“When we agreed last year that Jesper would take up the new position as CEO of our Emergency business and initiated the transition, we both knew that it would be very demanding on both of us. It is always unfortunate when something does not work out as you had hoped, but I would like to thank Jesper for his efforts, inspiration and passion,” said Allan Søgaard Larsen.

Jesper Lok joined the company as CEO of Falck Emergency on 1 January 2015 when Falck set up an independent executive management board for the Emergency Division in line with the boards of the other Falck divisions in order to increase the direct focus on both Danish and international ambulance, fire-fighting and healthcare services. Until then, the Emergency Division and the Falck Group had had the same executive management board.

Falck’s Emergency Division develops ambulance, fire-fighting and healthcare solutions based on Falck’s long-term collaboration with Danish local and regional authorities and government institutions. In 30 countries worldwide, people can get assistance from Falck rescue officers, nurses or physicians. Falck also provides fire-fighting services to a number of industrial customers in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Emergency is Falck’s largest and most international business area with annual revenue of DKK 8.7 billion. Falck’s three other business areas are Assistance, Healthcare and Safety Services.

Jesper Lok will leave Falck when he has completed certain specific projects.

Neither Jesper Lok nor Falck have any further comments to Jesper Lok’s resignation.
