Jesper Lok to head Falck's Emergency Division
In order to strengthen and sustain its continuing domestic and international expansion, in 2012 Falck established independent executive management boards for three of its business areas – Assistance, Healthcare and Safety Services. The Executive Management Board of the Falck Group retained the management responsibility of the fourth division, Emergency.
Falck is now setting up an independent executive management board for the Emergency Division in line with the boards of the other divisions in order to increase the direct focus on providing both Danish and international ambulance, fire-fighting and healthcare services. Emergency is Falck's largest and most international division with annual revenue of DKK 8.1 billion. In 30 countries worldwide, people can get assistance from Falck rescue officers, nurses or physicians. Falck also provides fire-fighting services to a number of industrial customers in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Jesper Lok joins Falck as CEO of the Emergency Division. He was previously CEO of DSB (Danish State Railways) and has had a long career with the Maersk Group, most recently as CEO of the towage company Svitzer.
“Falck is a fantastic Danish company with a rich heritage, strong competencies and a unique corporate spirit. I look forward to becoming a member of the global Falck team and to building on the strengths and potential already existing in the company,” said Jesper Lok.
Falck's CEO Allan Søgaard Larsen is proud of having attracted such a strong executive and personality to be a part of the continuing expansion of Falck's operations within ambulance, fire-fighting and healthcare services.
"The combination of his comprehensive international experience from a large Danish company and his knowledge about working with the public sector makes Jesper Lok the very best profile for driving the expansion of the Emergency Division even further going forward," said Allan Søgaard Larsen.
The Executive Management Board of Falck's Emergency Division will also be strengthened by Mikael Kjærgaard, who will be CFO of the division. He joins from the position of Executive Vice President of Falck's Business Support and has previously served as CFO of Falck Denmark for a number of years.
Jesper Lok and Mikael Kjærgaard will take up their positions on 1 January 2015. Both will be members of the Falck Group Management. The members of the Group Executive Management will continue to be Allan Søgaard Larsen and Deputy CEO Morten R. Pedersen.
