Falck wins contract for seated patient transportation in the Capital Region of Denmark
Falck has just won the majority of the recent tender for seated patient transportation in the Capital Region of Denmark. This means that patients in the Capital Region, who need transport to and from a treatment site, will be helped by Falck rescuers going forward.
Falck and the Capital Region have entered into a new agreement with the result that Falck will continue to operate 8 out of 11 sub-areas of the seated patient transport in the Capital Region if Denmark. This means that Falck will be responsible for the transport of non-acute patients who need transportation from their home to e.g. a hospital or a medical clinic.
Falck are satisfied that the company can continue the operation of the seated patient transport. Senior Vice President at Falck Ambulance Denmark, Jørgen Mieritz says:
"We have been awarded the majority of the partial agreements within the tender on seated patient transport, which we have several years of experience with operating. We look forward to continue to provide high quality service to the citizens and further developing our positive cooperation with the Capital Region.”
Freddy Lippert, CEO, Emergency Medical Services Copenhagen, The Capital Region of Denmark states:
"It must be safe for the citizens to be driven to and from the hospital. I am therefore pleased that we can continue the cooperation with Falck. "
The new agreement will come into effect from 1st of February and 1st of April 2019. The contract expires in 2022 with the possibility of renewal for another 2 years.
