Falck Takes Full Control of Grupo EMI
Falck acquires the remaining 36.9% of the shares of Grupo EMI and takes full ownership of Colombia’s leading provider of pre-hospital medical care.
CEO of Falck Emergency, Jakob Bomholt, says:

The company has a growing customer base of approx. 1.1 million subscribers in several countries in Latin America. It has its stronghold and significant traction in the increasing Colombian middle-class that appreciates Grupo EMI’s emergency medical care and doctors’ care home consultation offering.”

Falck acquires the shares from Tribeca Homecare Fund that has been its long-term partner since 2007. The acquisition took effect on 19 October 2017.
