In 2013/2014, Falck’s Danish medical office started and completed a study concerning hygiene for uniforms, an area where very little research exists currently.
It is the result of this study that now receives recognition in the form of publication in an international peer-reviewed journal - a journal where other researchers evaluate and approve the article before publication.
In April 2015, the results were also distributed at a poster-presentation at the European ECCMID conference, which is one of the world’s largest conferences within microbiology and infection control, numbering more than 10,000 participants.
"With the publication of our results from UniStatus in a peer-reviewed international journal, we have proven that Falck also is capable of conducting research on an international level", says medical director Mathias Giebner.
The ArticleUniStatus - A cross-sectional study on the contamination of uniforms in the Danish ambulance serviceis published as an open access article, and can be downloaded here.
