Falck now has a LEGO® ambulance
Ambulances, fire engines and police cars are toys that most kids have played with one time or another. Some kids may even have built them out of LEGO® bricks.
A LEGO® ambulance assembly kit consists of less than 200 bricks, so why not use your imagination and build something bigger? Falck has done just that, and the dream has come true.
At LEGOLAND® in Billund, Denmark, Falck will unveil an ambulance built out of 255,750 LEGO® pieces. The ambulance weighs a tonne, and it took more than 1,000 hours to build it.
"It is an educational tool that we intend to use at future exhibitions and conferences to show people the functions and contents of a modern ambulance," said Allan Søgaard Larsen, President & CEO of Falck
Although it will not be operating on the roads, the LEGO® ambulance will still have lights, blue flashing beacons and a siren just like a real ambulance.
"I am sure this special ambulance will be popular wherever it is exhibited going forward – be it in Denmark or abroad," said Allan Søgaard Larsen.
