Falck expands into the Czech Republic
The Falck Group has entered the Czech ambulance market through an acquisition of the Baukomplex company, the 3rd largest company operating patient transport services in the Czech Republic.
“It is a new era of Falck in Central and Eastern Europe as Falck is becoming an important healthcare carrier in the Czech Republic,“ said the general manager of Falck in Central and Eastern Europe, Ivo Krpelan.
“Baukomplex is an established brand name and a trusted operator with a positive track record in the market,” he added.
The new Czech Falck company has 70 employees and its fleet consists of 45 ambulances. It transports 7,000 patients per month in the districts of Havlíčkův Brod, Kutná Hora and Benešov, east of the Czech capital, Prag.
”We perceive the interest expressed by Falck as very flattering, and we will do our best to integrate as successfully as possible into this big international family of rescuers, fire-fighters, and other healthcare professionals,“ said Václav Moravec.
