Falck and ECU sign global agreement
Falck and Edith Cowan University (ECU), a large multi-campus institution serving communities in Western Australia and a significant cohort of international students, have signed an agreement to collaborate on emergency medical education and research.
- Collaboration in the provision of education for emergency services
- The development of international clinical placement opportunities
- The establishment of pathways into University programs for Falck personnel
- Collaboration in research into emergency services
- The development of tele-health solutions for remote medical support
“I am delighted with this agreement that will allow ECU and Falck to work collaboratively to improve the health outcomes of the communities we serve,” he said.
Falck is excited to enter into the co-operation with ECU.
“For years we have looked for the right partner in university prehospital distance learning programs to team up with and considering ECU’s excellent research, education capabilities and reputation, this partnership is ideal,” Falck Executive Vice President Hans Jensen said.
In 2013, Falck acquired a 55 percent share of Hostile Environment Services (HES), now Falck Pty, operating 54 ambulances and 16 mobile medical clinics servicing the resource industry in remote Australia.
