Crisis team in place in Brussels

Late Tuesday evening, a crisis team from Falck Global Assistance arrived in Brussels to provide information and support to Nordic travellers and expatriates who are in the city.

The crisis team, consisting of a Swedish psychologist and two senior logistic coordinators is based at the Royal Windsor Hotel Grand'Place, Rue Duquesnoy 5-7, Brussels, 1000 BE. Here, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian travellers and expatriates can seek information, help and advice with regard to medical and psychological needs, logistics in relation to transportation and insurance coverage.

“The team is now up and running in Brussels and ready to help the people who need our assistance. We are creating a full overview of the situation in the city and are having on-going dialogues with relevant parties such as the Swedish and Danish embassies,” says Alf Ingesson-Thoor, Chief psychologist in Falck.

  • The Belgian Crisis Centre has given the Belgian telephone number 0032 2753 7300 for concerned family/friends or 1171 for general enquiries.
  • Business travellers in Brussels are advised to monitor the instructions of the Bel-gian Government in the media, to avoid, for the time being, unnecessary journeys and to follow the advice of the security forces. Substantial business interruption due to restrictions on movement and communications is to be expected
