Falck aligns operations and sustainability goals

Falck has released its Sustainability Report 2019 outlining the company’s sustainability effort and commitment to the UN Global Compact

In January 2019, Falck became a signatory to the UN Global Compact and committed to the Ten Principles and pledged to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and to take action to advance societal goals.

“Being mindful of how we impact social, environmental and economic developments, we pay particular attention to our impact on the access to health of our customers and the communities in which we operate, the people we employ, climate and the environment around us, and the trust of our employees, customers and other stakeholders,” says Falck President & CEO Jakob Riis outlining the four main areas of Falck’s sustainability efforts.

For each focus area Falck has identified the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) which best corresponds to the efforts and where Falck can contribute to most: SDG 3 (Good health and well-being), 8 (Decent work and economic growth), 13 (Climate action) and 16 (Peace, justice, and strong institutions).

“In this way, we ensure that we address the global challenges most closely linked to Falck’s business,” says Jakob Riis.

“It is our ambition over the coming years to define shared value projects together with our business partners and customers. Such projects will enable us to have a positive impact on society beyond our own business.”
